The Calm Academy 

Mindfulness Course with Con Sheehan


Presence is a 3-week course that aims to ground you in the basics of mindfulness meditation. It is a course designed to support both people starting and people who just want to deepen their practice.

It is particularly tailored for those who:

  • Feel ‘switched on’ all the time and want to experience a greater sense of presence and ease

  • Often feel overwhelmed by life’s demands and want to learn how to cope more effectively

  • Already have a meditation practice but feel a bit stuck and want to connect deeper to themselves

  • Students and families coming up to exam time who want to learn how to manage stress 

Personally, meditation has helped me develop a greater capacity to tolerate discomfort, disengage from unhelpful thoughts, accept my circumstances as they are, and be kinder to myself. I have also gained more perspective and clarity around my sense of self, the nature of life, and ultimately my purpose in it.

Each session will include practice and theory. There will always be an opportunity to share if you wish, but sharing is optional. After each session, an email will be sent out to each participant containing slides from the session and a link to access a meditation recording. Don't worry if you can't make the live a recording will be sent to each participant.
